sexual assault investigation

Investigators have released little information regarding an alleged sexual assault at an event held at Geno's on N.C. 105 in early April.

The Boone Police Department received a report of a sexual assault on Thursday, April 3. A Watauga County Crimestoppers alert was issued on the campus of Appalachian State University early this week requesting information related to the investigation.

Investigator Matt Stevens said the department is not releasing any details related to the case.
