Watauga cruised past South Caldwell 9-0 in Northwestern 4-A Conference girls’ soccer Tuesday night at Jack Groce Stadium.
The Pioneers (8-4) got two goals from Jodi Krause, giving her four for the season. Lucy Binning added a goal and an assist, while Anna Lisa Hart also had a goal and an assist.
Ashlyn Baird, Macy Johnson, Tiffany Tickns, Kaitelyn Thompson and Austin Williamson also scored goals for the Pioneers. Baird and Johnson lead the team with seven goals each, while Binning and Hart each have six.

Watauga outshot South Caldwell 15-2. South Caldwell slipped to 0-10 overall, 0-6 in the NWC.
The Pioneers (8-4, 4-2 NWC), who have won six out of their last seven games, play at Freedom Friday night. Watauga beat Freedom 3-0 March 11.
Watauga’s only loss during that stretch was to T.C. Roberson, the No. 1-ranked team in 3-A and one of the top programs in the state.
Next Tuesday, the Pioneers take on first-place McDowell in Marion. McDowell beat Watauga 1-0 on March 13.
