chefs is Saturday

Taste buds across Watauga are tingling, as a time to celebrate the High Country’s cuisine approaches. The High Country Chef and Cooks Association (HCCCA) will be hosting its annual Salute to High Country Chefs on Saturday, April 12.

The event will be held at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door. Corporate sponsorships, which include a reserved table and 10 tickets, are $450.

The evening will start with a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres. Items in the auction include art, wine and other items related to the culinary field. Dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. and will include selections from some of the area’s best restaurants, served buffet style.

Proceeds from the event go to support the HCCCA’s philanthropic efforts to support the area’s culinary community through scholarships and continuing education.
