Washington leaves
grid team, future uncertain
From staff reports
Appalachian State defensive lineman Tim Washington will not practice the rest of this spring, and his status for this fall remains unknown.
Washington, a transfer from LSU last year, played in 11 games, racking up 37 tackles. According to the Appalachian State athletic department, Washington and head coach Jerry Moore decided that it was best that Washington take time away from the team. He was not suspended and is not officially off the team.
Washington did not break any team rules or policy and is in good academic standing.
Washington and Moore will reevaluate the player’s status at a later time.
