Feb. 29
Christopher Robert Bartok, 35, of 6881 U.S. 221 South, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear at a scheduled court date in Greensboro. He is scheduled to appear in district court in Greensboro on March 28 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Sergio Gonzalez Mendoza, 24, of 256 Bluebird Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of providing fictitious information to an officer. He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 1 in lieu of a $500 unsecured bond.
Larceny and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle were reported by a resident of Walnut Point Drive in Matthews. The victim reported a Glock .9 mm firearm, valued at $600, stolen from the vehicle.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Harrison Meadows in Boone. The victim reported copper welding leads, valued at $900, stolen.
March 1
Paul Lee Braswell, 45, of 2518 Beaver Dam Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of failure to file taxes and two counts of failure to pay taxes. He is scheduled to appear in district court on March 24 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.
John Dewey Jarvis, 77, of 125 Roby Greene Road, Boone, was served with a warrant as a fugitive from justice. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on March 18 in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
James Richard Harwood, 30, of 1846 Forest Grove Road, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of failure to pay child support. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on March 22 in lieu of a $620 cash bond.
Damage to property was reported on the 100 block of Dovick Drive in Banner Elk. The victim reported tenants left a rental property damaged.
March 2
Kevin James Harmeyer, 41, of 270 Roy Younce Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of injury to personal property. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on March 25 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
Andrew Kenneth Crouch, 22, of 495 Kellwood Drive, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 16 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at a residence on the 200 block of I.J. Bingam Place in Boone. The victims reported a person entered the apartment through the window and removed a computer, a camera, a PlayStation 2 and various video games. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,470.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 4000 block of U.S. 105 South in Boone. The victim reported a wallet with $30 in cash and multiple credit cards stolen.
Larceny was reported at a residence on Highland Hall Road in Boone. A stainless steel sink and a hand truck were reported stolen, with a total value of $165.
The death of an animal was reported at a residence on the 1400 block of Cobbs Creek Road in Boone. The victim reported an unknown person shot their dog.
March 3
Mark Edward Luttrell, 35, of 127 Bennett Way, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in district court on March 20 in lieu of a secured $519 bond.
Breaking and entering, larceny and damage to property were reported at a residence on the 3000 block of U.S. 421 North in Boone. A person entered the home, damaging two door frames and a lock, and removed a credit card, $30 in cash, and a pair of Oakley sunglasses.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 2200 block of Brookshire Road in Boone. The victim reported the registration plate stolen from a vehicle trailer.
Harassing phone calls were reported by a resident of Parkside Road. The victim reported receiving multiple phone calls.
Harassment was reported by a resident of Winklers Creek Road in Boone. The victim reported an acquaintance had harassed them via telephone calls.
March 4
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Boone Coffey Trail in Boone. The victim reported a person had entered the residence through a back door.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 300 block of Flowers Branch Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person had entered the home through a window and stolen a digital camera and various DVDs.
Trespassing and harassment were reported at a resident on the 1400 block of Castleford Road in Boone. The victim reported a former employee continues to make contact and trespass after verbal warnings.
Identity theft was reported by a resident of River Pointe Lane in Boone. The victim reported a person opened an account using the their name and information.
Terry Lynn Cox, 28, of 460 Roxanna St., Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of assault on a female, communicating threats and harassing phone calls. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48-hour hold. Cox is scheduled to appear in district court on April 16.
Raul Fabian, 48, of 1232 Old U.S. 421 North, Sugar Grove, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in district court on March 24 in lieu of a $500 cash bond.
Barry Andrew Glenn, 42, of 287 Smith St., Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of four felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and two misdemeanor counts of larceny. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. Glenn was also served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Avery County. A secured bond for the warrant was set at $30,000 with a scheduled court appearance on April 22. A secured bond of $2,500 was set on the order for arrest with a scheduled court appearance in Newland on March 20.
Larceny was reported at a school on Community College Drive. A new computer monitor, valued at $900, was reported stolen.
Larceny was reported at a residence on Mabel School Road in Zionville. Several tools were reported stolen with a total value of $1,700.
