Holmes to host
Oak Hill in hoops tourney

Oak Hill Academy, which is one of the top high school basketball programs in the nation on a consistent basis, and undefeated Patterson Prep School, the No. 1 ranked postgraduate school in the country, will play in the Echota Mountain Madness Classic at the Holmes Center Monday night.
Oak Hill Academy, which is the home of Brandon Jennings, one of the top high school players in the nation, takes on North Carolina College Prep out of Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. Following that game, Patterson Prep takes on Charis Prep.
There are also two other games on the card for Monday night. Summit School of California takes on Mount Zion of Durham at 4:30 p.m., while Eduard Mont Petit of Canada plays Veritas Christian of Asheville at 6 p.m.
Jennings, a 6-foot-2 guard, has already signed to play at Arizona next year. Oak Hill has sent several players to the NBA who have played in the tournament, including Josh Smith (atlanta Hawks) Rajon Rondo (Boston Celtics), and Kevin Durant (Seattle Sonics). Other Oak Hill players who have played in the Champions Classic include Eric Devendorf (Syracuse), Michael Beasley (Kansas State), Nolan Smith (Duke) and Ty Lawson (North Carolina).
