A Millers Creek man has been charged in the breaking and entering of Kelley Brothers Tire and Auto in early January.
The arrest is the result of cooperation between the Boone Police Department and the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Jerry Randall Greene, 45, was arrested in Iredell County in connection to an incident very similar to the Kelley Brothers Tire and Auto break-in.
An officer in Iredell noticed the comparable nature of the crimes and contacted Sgt. Jim Wilson of the Boone Police Department.
The January images taken from surveillance equipment at Kelley Brothers Tire at the time of the break-in were forwarded to Iredell, and the officers positively identified Greene as a suspect, as well as the truck believed to be used in the break-in.
A warrant was issued on Friday, charging Greene with breaking and entering and felony larceny.
In the Jan. 6 breaking and entering of Kelley Brothers Tire, a hole was cut out of the wall and four Michelin tires and a tool box of Snap On tools were reported stolen.
Greene remains in the Iredell County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Watauga County district court on March 18.
