Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on the 500 block of Oak Grove Church Road in Boone. Someone entered the vehicle and stole stereo equipment, valued at $470.
Fraud was reported by a resident on the 200 block of Cabin Cove Road in Zionville. The victim reported receiving a stolen check.
Larceny was reported at a residence on 1400 block of Rainbow Trail, Boone. Thirty wooden fence boards, an unknown quantity of paver stones, and two dog lights were reported stolen, with a total value of $3,100.
A shot was reportedly fired on Wildcat Raod near the Dallas Watson Lane intersection. The person reported hearing a shot while walking along the road.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 10100 block of N.C. 105 South in Boone. The victim reported a person striking a vehicle and the porch of the home with an axe, causing $705 in damage.
Larceny was reported at a business on the 4400 U.S. 421 North in Vilas. A person pumped $15.01 in gasoline and drove off without paying.
Vandalism and tampering with a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 500 block of Hodges Gap Road in Boone. The victim reported water had been poured into the fuel tank of a vehicle, causing $1,500 in damage.
