Third suspect charged

in Saturday home invasion

The third man sought in connection with a weekend home invasion and armed robbery in Boone is in custody.

The robbery took place around 11 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on Wood Circle, when two men wearing masks burst in on three people and brandished knives, robbing the occupants of about $75.

Boone Police Department officers arrested Daniel Kipoom Lee, 19, an Appalachain State University student from Raleigh, and Marcus Scott Phillips, 19, of Chapel Hill, on Saturday.

On Wednesday, the third suspect, Devin Dewitt Torain Agee, 21, of Chapel Hill turned himself in to Orange County authorities. He has been charged with felonious breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Bond has been set at $50,000 for each suspect. They are scheduled to appear on Mar. 6 in Watauga County district court.
