Two charged in
weekend home invasion

Two men are in custody and a warrant has been issued for a third in connection to a reported armed robbery at a Boone apartment on Saturday.
Police say two men wearing masks and brandishing knives entered the apartment at 190 Wood Circle after 11 a.m.

There were three people in the residence at the time of the home invasion.
The suspects robbed the occupants of approximately $75. There were no injuries.
Officers of the Boone Police Department responded to the home and later arrested two men.
Daniel Kipoom Lee, 19, an Appalachian State University student from Raleigh, and Marcus Scott Phillips, 19, of Chapel Hill, remain in custody in lieu of $50,000 bonds.
Lee was charged with felonious breaking and entering, robbery with a dangerous weapon and resisting public officer. Phillips was charged with felonious breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The investigation led to an additional warrant for Devin Dewitt Torain Agee, 21, of Chapel Hill, who allegedly assisted Lee and Phillips in the robbery by standing outside the door of the apartment during the robbery. Agee will also face charges of felonious breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
