TV Times
will move online
From staff reports
Soon, local TV viewers will be able to click instead of flipping pages to find their favorite show times.
Mountain Times Publications is moving its TV Times online beginning Feb. 13, bringing broadcast schedules, features on stars, video clips and more to an expanded audience.
“Adding an online presentation of TV Times is a huge win for everyone,” said advertising manager Charlie Price.
“Subscribers and non-subscribers alike now have the benefit of being able to read TV Times in print or on the computer. We didn’t hold back anything.”

While the print version of TV Times will still be available as an insert, the online version enables it to reach more homes and even mobile audiences via laptop computers. It will be available free and around-the-clock through www.mountaintimes.com, www.wataugademocrat.com and www.blowingrocket.com.
Price said the online utility offers advertisers extra benefits as well. It delivers an unlimited audience and advertisers enjoy interactivity by ads that are linked to their own Web sites and it is part of the newspaper group's expansion into a variety of media outlets.
“We can even download commercial videography that is linked to their ad,” Price said. “When online readers click ads with video presentations, the advertisers can be confident that the video is viewed by an engaged, active customer wanting more information. This is a huge step in our continuing effort to offer a multi-media approach to advertising at a truly affordable cost.”
While the online TV Times officially launches on Feb. 13, a test site is currently available by clicking on the “TV Times Online” button on the navigation bar at www.mountaintimes.com.
