delivers felony

drug charges

for Tennessee couple
A Greeneville, Tenn. couple is awaiting extradition to Boone on felony drug charges.

Teai Lynn Arwood, 32, and James Wesley Arwood, 36, were charged with with trafficking in opiates by possession on Jan. 25 after they were located by authorities in Greenville.

The pair is alleged to have received 210 hydrocodone tablets at a Boone location that had been shipped via FedEx from an out-of-state location. The investigation began as a result of an anonymous tip to Boone Police Department’s narcotics division.

The Arwoods remain in custody in Greeneville and will be transported to Boone, though an exact date has been released. Bond and a Watauga county district court date will be set after their arrival.

Although the controlled substance crossed state lines, Capt. William Greene of the Boone Police Department said no state or federal agencies will be involved in this case.
