A Tennessee man is in custody in Watauga County related to charges stemming from a June 2007 incident.

Warrants were issued by the Boone Police Department, and information regarding Johnson was entered into the National Crime Information Center database.

The warrants caught up with Johnson in Wytheville, Va., on Jan. 15 and he was arrested by the Virginia Highway Patrol.

On Jan. 30, he was transported back to Watauga County.

Johnson has been charged with four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense.

He is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 21 in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
