Vehicle crimes alert police

Watauga County Crimestoppers requests your help in identifying those responsible for the following crimes:

•On Friday, Jan. 18, a blue 1991 Mazda MX-6 was parked at the end of Vannoy Lane on Old U.S. 421 South. Someone used a beer bottle to bust out the front and side windows of the vehicle.

•Sometime between the dates of Jan. 7 and Jan. 22, a 2001 Volvo was damaged by pouring water into the gasoline tank. The Volvo was parked in the parking lot at the intersection of N.C. 105 South and the 105 bypass.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22 a small, two-door, white vehicle with tinted windows was involved in a gas drive off at Quality Plus located at 4470 U.S. 421 North in Vilas.

•On Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, someone removed two chain-link dog lots, several boards, paver stones and a pressure washer from the back yard of a residence on Rainbow Trail Road.

•Sometime on Dec. 27, 2007, someone broken into a vehicle at 573 Oak Grove Church Road and removed a Sony Xplod Subwoofer and other stereo equipment from the vehicle.
