Dec. 27
Simple physical assault was reported by a resident of Meat Camp Road in Boone. The victim reported their father-in-law drew back an ax with intent to strike.
Larceny was reported by a resident of Wildwood Drive in Deep Gap. The victim reported their wallet was either lost, left or stolen while grocery shopping.
Rosemary Rodriguez, 32, of 1655 N.C. 194 North #15, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 7 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Justin Michael Caver, 20, of 9866 N.C. 105 South, Banner Elk, was arrested on charges of driving while license revoked, careless and reckless driving, and speeding, 93 mph in a 45 mph zone. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Dec. 28
Danny Oshore, 35, of 1089 Slabtown Road, Zionville, was arrested on a charge of violating a domestic violence protective order. Oshore was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48 hour hold. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22.
Damage to property and larceny were reported on the 100 block John Lane in Zionville. The victim reported furniture burned and various property stolen. The total value is listed as $1,775.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Laurel Gap Ridge, Boone. The victim reported a subject ran off the road and hit a mailbox, causing $40 in damage.
Vandalism was reported at a church on Bamboo Road in Boone. A suspect hit the church sign repeatedly with a 2 X 4 causing $2,800 worth of damage.
Larceny was reported at a business on the 4800 block of N.C. 421 North in Vilas. A newspaper rack, valued at $400, was reported stolen.
Dec. 29
Buster Lee Coffey, 60, of 6102 Howards Creek Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for assault with a deadly weapon. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Assault was reported at a residence on the 100 block of McKinley Hill in Boone. The victim reported a subject slapped their hand, causing a knife to stab their eye.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block on Henson Hollar Road in Vilas. The victim reported a bracelet and watch, both in a silver box, stolen. The total value was listed as $459.95.
Dec. 30
James Attihlio Galgano, 46, of 2342 Powderhorn Mountain Road, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and violating the conditions of release. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a $750 unsecured bond.
Larceny and tampering with the mail was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Boone. The victim reported a check, in the amount of $6.15, stolen from the mailbox.
Dec. 31
Joshua Anthony Minton, 26, of 191 Boulder Ridge, town unlisted, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of two counts of injury to real property, assault on a female, breaking and entering, and resisting public officer. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 7 in lieu of an unsecured $3,000 bond.
Damage to property was reported at the parking lot of Appalachian Ski Mountain. The victim reported an item thrown at the vehicle, damaging the window.
Damage to property was reported on Deck Hill Road in Boone. The victim reported a vehicle scratched with a key and the glass broken of the drivers window of another vehicle.
Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at a residence on Monroe Herman Road in Boone. The victim reported a window was broken in order to gain access.
Communicating threats was reported at a business on the 100 block of Heath Center Drive in Boone. The victim reported a suspect calling and leaving threatening messages.
Trespassing was reported at a residence on Old Watauga River Road in Beaver Dam. The victim reported a suspect banging on their door.
Jan. 1
Elizabeth Ann Ayoub, 23, of 176 Adams Lane, Boone, was arrested on a charge of a driving while impaired. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 7 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Alexander Pugahev, 17, of 226 Henson Hollar Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of larceny and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a $1,500 secured bond.
Joshua Edmund Seay, 29, of 8180 Old U.S. 421 North, Zionville, was arrested on charges of assault on a female and assault by strangulation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48 hour hold. Seay is schedule to appear in district court on Feb. 7.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a parking lot of the 100 block of Crocker Road in Boone. The victim reported a person spinning vehicle tires, and subsequently breaking their car window.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 1400 block of U.S. 321 in Sugar Grove. The victim reported three pieces of furniture stolen, with a total value of $425.
Jan. 2
Justin Allen Hicks, 22, of 1678 Kellersville Road, Banner Elk, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of harassing phone calls. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
Larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle were reported at a residence on the 2600 block of Meat Camp Road in Boone. A 2001 white Ford Explorer was reported stolen, with a cell phone and a digital camera inside.
Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at a residence on the 200 block of Wildcat Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported the back door of the home was kicked open, causing $200 worth of damage.
Damage to property was reported on the 300 block of Sileo Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported damage to both a window and a door of a residence.
Jan. 3
Larceny was reported at a business on the 9200 block of U.S. 421 North in Zionville. A person drove away without paying for $67.94 in gasoline.
Matthew Wayne Rayfield, 23, of 206 Bryant Combs Road, town unspecified on report, was served with an order for arrest on charges of two counts of resisting public officer, driving while impaired and possession of an open container of alcohol, stemming from an incident in Avery County. Rayfield was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Avery County District Court on Feb. 1 in lieu of a $7,500 secured bond. He was also charged at the time of his arrest with expired registration and served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date.
Stephen Mark Bondurant, 21, of 1142 Niley Cook Road, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date for a noise ordinance violation. He was released on a written promise bond.
Justin Dale Lee, 23, of 368 Lakeview Drive Apt. 2, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest for exceeding the psuedoephederine possession limit. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Harassing phone calls and communication of threats were reported at a business on the 200 block of Wilson Drive in Boone. The victim reported someone calling the business making threats.
Motor vehicle theft was reported at a residence on the 400 block of Wards Branch Road in Sugar Grove. The victim reported a white Mercury Sable, year unspecified, stolen.
A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on the 200 block of River Road in Banner Elk.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Cara Way in Boone. A 1995 white Toyota 4-Runner was reported stolen.
Jan. 5
Danny Lee Osborne, 35, of 1089 Slab town Road in Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of violation of a domestic violence protective order. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. Osborne is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22.
Terry Lynn Cox, 28, of 255 Martin Lane, town unspecified in report, was served with a warrant for arrest for communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 7 in lieu of a $1,500 written promise bond.
Donald Lee McCormick, 38, of 789 Kirby Branch Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest for assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 27 in lieu of a $1,500 secured bond.
