Jan. 4
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 2:24 p.m. on the 300 block of Meadowview Drive.

Arrests:
Clyde Van Fore, 40, of 280 Graggville Road, Boone, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. and charged with exceeding the posted speed limit, driving left of center, driving while impaired and having an open container of alcohol.

David James Opalecky, 42, of Cobbs Creek Road, Boone, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. and charged with driving while impaired and speeding, 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Jan. 5
Arrests: Carlos Menchu, 20, of 220 Roby Watson Road, Deep Gap, was arrested at 9:57 a.m. and charged with failure to register a vehicle, no operators license and no insurance.

Alisha S. Potter, 32, of 111 Straight St., Boone, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. and charged with driving while license revoked and no insurance.

Jan. 6
A forcible entry burglary was reported at 8:54 a.m. on the 100 block of Tarheel Lane.

Jan. 7
Arrests: David Crews, 42, of 221 N.C. 194 North, Boone, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. and charged with communicating threats, criminal damage to property and simple physical assault.

Angela McNair, 21, of 302 W. King St., Boone, was arrested at 8:53 a.m. and charged with trespassing.
Lindsay Rainey, 19, of 486 Upper Hanging Rock Road, Spruce Pine, was arrested at 12 p.m. and charged with forgery of an instrument.

Steven Powers, 54, of 417 Blowing Rock Road Apt. 3, Boone, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. and charged with simple non-physical assault and simple assault.

Jan. 8
Arrests: Jaime Floyd, 31, of 4642 Hickory Nut Gap Road, Banner Elk, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. and charged with driving while impaired.
