LTTLE ROCK, Ark. — Appalachian State center Donte Minter, at least according to Mountaineers coach Houston Fancher, has not played with much confidence lately.

Duo named players of the year in their sports
The autumn of 2007 was extraordinary for Watauga. The Pioneers’ athletic program churned out no less than five Northwestern 4-A Conference champions this fall, including football, girls’ tennis, volleyball, boys’ cross country and boys’ soccer. Read more.

Ervin earns honor
Last Tuesday, Appalachian State wrestler Scott Ervin captured his second tournament title of the season. A day later, he earned SoCon wrestler of the week honors. The Mountaineer senior earns his first conference honor since being named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the 2007 SoCon Championships. Read more.
