Dec. 3
Andrew Jacob Carroll, 19, of Fremington Road, Huntersville, was found guilty of driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Carroll was assessed a total of $410 in fines and fees. Charges of driving left of center, driving after consuming alcohol while underage, possession of alcohol by an underage person and simple possession of marijuana were dismissed.
Amy Chantel Gee, 33, of 457 Willow Trail, Boone, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. A prayer for judgement continued was granted. A charge of failure to stop for at a stop sign or flashing red light was dismissed.
Sharon Denise Hollars, 47, of 784 Love Hollar Roard, Boone, was found guilty of driving while impaired. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Hollars was assessed a total of $325 in fines and fees.
Benjamin Lloyd Lyons, 22, of 109 Tall Pine Circle, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Lyons was assessed a total of $400 in fines and fees. Charges of failure to stop at a stop sign or flashing red light and reckless driving to endanger were dismissed.
A charge of aiding and abeting impaired driving was dismissed against Buddy Sharp Jr., 19, of 310 Justice Dormitory, Boone.
Dec. 4
Daniel Burke Carrier, 22, of 1620 Rochelle Drive, Dunwoody, Ga., was found guilty of driving while impaired and found responsible for charges of possession of alcohol by an underage person and driving left of center. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Carrier was assessed a total of $510 in fines and fees.
Michael Scott Dunn, 32, of 2019 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, was found guilty of driving while impaired and speeding. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 60 days. Dunn was assesed a total of $665 in fines and fees. He was found not guilty of reckless driving to endanger and driving while license revoked.
Christopher M. Hauser, 23, of 711 Teaberry Hills Road, Boone, was found guilty of driving while impaired and responsible for driving left of center. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Hauser was assessed a total of $405 in fines and fees.
Robert Edwin Higgins, 22, of 35 Hillview Road, Asheville, was found guilty of driving while impaired. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Higgins was assessed a total of $415 in fines and fees. He was found not responsible for one charge of driving left of center.
Michael Clay Leger, 26, of 132 Greencrest Place, Millers Creek, was found guilty of driving while impaired, speeding and an expired inspection sticker. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. Leger was assessed a total of $210 in fines and fees.
Brandon A. McDaniel, 25, of 2 Halter Place, Pinehurst, was found guilty of driving while impaired and speeding. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 30 days. McDaniel was assessed a total of $410 in fines and fees.
Eric Harris Whitworth, 21, of 4042 4th St. NW, Hickory, was found guilty of driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to one year in jail, suspended, 59 days active, 6 years unsupervised probation, and assessed a total of $952 in fines and fees. Whitworth was found not guilty of hit and run with property damage and driving after consuming alcohol while underage. This offense occurred in 2006.
Dec. 5
Charges of failure to wear a seat belt and driving while impaired were dismissed against William Howard Furman, 40, of 503 Hawks Nest Drive, Boone. An essential witness could not be present and a motion to continue by prosection was denied.
Troy Alexander Blakley, 21, of 2127 Eskridge Terrace, Clover, S.C., pleaded guilty to driving while impaired. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 90 days. Blakley was assessed a total of $600 in fines and fees. A charge of driving after consuming alcohol while underage was dismissed.
Dec. 7
Elizabeth McCutcheon, 22, of 4712 Outer Bank Drive, Norcross, Ga., was found guilty of driving while impaired. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, three years unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service to be completed within 60 days. McCutcheon was assessed court costs and community service fees.
