Nov. 30
Daniel Jesus Garcia, 26, of 149 Hayes St., Boone, was served with an order for arrest for two counts of failure to appear at a scheduled court date and a criminal summons for one count of issuing a worthless check. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan 15 in lieu of a $750 cash bond.

Darragh Nicole Gyger, 20, of 5504 Crossfield Drive, Raleigh, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 17 in lieu of a $50 cash bond.


Robert Randall Deluca, 49, of 1304 U.S. 421 North, Trade, Tenn., was served with a warrant for injury to personal property and possessing a weapon as a prisoner. He remains in custody in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 15 in lieu of a secured $10,000 bond.

Robin Alison Howard, 45, of 302 W. King St., Boone, was served with a warrant for communicating threats and misdemeanor stalking. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 3 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.

A stolen vehicle was recovered in the parking lot of a business. The 2005 Penske rental truck was found in a business parking lot along the N.C. 105 Bypass in Boone.

Breaking and entering, and larceny were reported at a residence on Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap. An estimated $700 in loose coin and several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen.

Vandalism was reported at the electric substation on Aho Road. The suspect spray painted graffiti on the retaining wall.

Dec. 1
Harassing phone calls were reported by a resident of Old Mountain Road in Creston. The victim reported their mother-in-law calling and harassing them.


A sexual assault was reported at a White Laurel apartment in Boone.

Damage to property was reported by a resident of Scotts Drive in Todd. The victim reported soap had been put into the gas tank of the victim’s vehicle.

Dec. 2
Lowell Young Dolinger, 49, of 14360 Woolfork Road, Fredricksburg, Va., was served with an order for arrest for a probation violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 3 in lieu of a secured $15,000 bond.


Alexander Charles Weaver, 16, of 1421 Forest Dale Lane, Johnson City, Tenn., was served with a warrant for possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.

Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Mabel School Road in Zionville. An unknown suspect entered the home by using a spare key.

Vandalism was reported by a resident of Howards Creek Road. The victim reported a suspect used a rock to break the windshield, side mirrors, headlights and side glass windows of a camper top on the victim’s truck.
Larceny was reported at Appalachian Ski Mountain. The victim reported a stolen snowboard.

Damage to property was reported at the Zionville Fire Department. The building had been shot with a paint ball gun.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on Old Slabtown Road in Zionville. A 1971 green El Comino was reported stolen.

Dec. 3
Staley Michael Brown, 23, of 1142 Niley Cook Road, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.

Larceny was reported at an auto mechanic shop on the 8000 block of N.C. 105. A suspect cut the exhaust pipe and removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.

William Anthony Niblett, 41, of 755 Stultz Road, Martinsville, Va., was served with a warrant for arrest for assault on a female. He remains in the Watauga County Jail, currently held on other charges, and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.

Ciara Nicole Jackson, 21, of 330 Hodges Valley Road Apt. 2, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for communicating threats. She is scheduled to appear in district court in lieu of a written promise bond.

A civil dispute was reported on Johns Lane in Zionville. The victim reported a person had boarded up their trailer and taken their pets to the pound.

A runaway juvenile was reported by a resident of Little Laurel Road in Boone.

Dec. 4
Breaking and entering and larceny was reported at a residence on North Pine Run Road in Boone. Several prescription pills, a Sam’s Club gift card and $50 in loose coin were reported stolen.

Damage to property was reported on Holloway Mountain Road in Boone. The victim reported their 2006 Nissan Frontier truck was taken.

Dec. 5
Missing or stolen leather money clip was reported by a resident of Wood Briar in Valle Crucis. The victim believes the money clip fell out of their pocket. It contained $1,080 in assorted bills.

Larceny of gasoline was reported at a filling station on the 4000 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas. The suspect drove off without paying for $25 in gasoline.

Dec. 6
Damage to a garage door was reported at a business on the 2000 block of U.S. 421 in Boone. The door was slammed and broken off of the hinges.

Breaking and entering, and larceny was reported at a residence on Canterbury Lane in Boone. The victim reported $6,350 worth of musical equipment and instruments stolen.

Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 1000 block of N.C. 105 in Banner Elk. The victim reported the back window of their vehicle broken.

Assault was reported at Brookshire Park in Boone. The victim reported having been punched in the face.

Dec. 7
Trespassing, recovered property and suspicious activity were reported in the parking lot of a business on the 9000 block of N.C. 421 in Deep Gap. Suspicious males were reported to be in the parking lot and left the property behind.

Fraud was reported at a business on Ski Mountain Road. A person received and presented a fraudulent ticket for services.

Benjamin Darrell Hensley, 24, of 125 Brown Road, Elizabethton, Tenn., was arrested on view for driving without a license. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in lieu of a secured $300 bond.


Alan Steward Michael, 31, of 4541 Elk Creek Road, Deep Gap, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 7 in lieu of a written promise bond.

Musa Nephtali Powell, 25, of 159 East Cove Lane, Apt. B, Deep Gap, was arrested on view for assault on a female and injury to personal property. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 22.
