Nov. 13
Fraud was reported by a resident of Cardinal Lane in Boone. An individual used the victim’s name to obtain a credit card.
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Sunset Drive in Blowing Rock. A suspect broke into the victim’s second home and had been staying there.
Larceny was reported at a rental cabin on Old Turnpike Road in Boone. A porch swing, valued at $100, was reported stolen.
Kyle Anthony Caygle, 17, 302 W. King St., Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of second degree trespassing. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 21 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Nov. 14
Damage to property was reported at an organization on Old U.S. 421 in Zionville. A suspect shot the door and walls of the Zionville Volunteer Fire Department with paintballs.
Omar Martinez Figueroa, 33, of 352 Old East King St. Apt. 11, Boone was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of assault on a female, misdemeanor larceny and interfering with emergency communications. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48 hour hold. Figueroa is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6.
A lost license plate was reported by a resident of Indian Paintbrush Drive in Banner Elk. The victim reported two New York issued plates lost.
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Quail Ridge Drive in Boone. A suspect entered the residence without permission.
Conversion of a shotgun was reported by a resident of Pleasant Valley Road in Banner Elk. A suspect failed to return the weapon to the owner upon demand.
Nov. 16
Anna Celeste Miller, 18, of 490 Goforth Road, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date for charges of speeding and driving without a license. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
Darrell Lynn Thomas, 44, of 4638 U.S. 421 N., Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Stolen property was found on U.S. 421 South in Deep Gap. A U-Haul tow dolly, which had been reported stolen, was discovered in a storage lot.
Fraud by means of confidence games or larceny by trick, was reported by a resident of Carolina Avenue in Boone. The suspect had told the elderly victim that they had won large sums of money.
The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and communicating threats were reported by a resident of Grandfather View Street in Banner Elk. A suspect borrowed a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer and did not return it.
Nov. 17
Willis Paul Hicks, 64, address listed as streets of Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 10 in lieu of a secured $10,000 bond.
Victor Kyle Hicks, 17, of 134 Millers Drive, Boone was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6 in lieu of a secured $6,000 bond.
Trespassing and damage to property was reported by a resident of Andy Hicks Road in Banner Elk. A suspect crossed a posted fence line and cut down small trees and thickets.
Larceny was reported in a parking lot off Westside Drive in Boone. A suspect stole the victim’s purse.
Nov. 18
Corey Daniel Johnson, 16, of 124 Larry Winkler Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6 in lieu of a secured $6,000 bond.
Breaking and entering and damage to property was reported at an apartment on Old Bristol Road in Boone. A suspect kicked and beat at the door and window of the apartment.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at an apartment complex on Darby Court in Boone. A 1994 dark green Isuzu Trooper was reported stolen.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on Justice Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported a fence post was pulled out of the ground.
Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at a construction site on Archway Drive in Vilas. A suspect forced open the basement door, damaging it.
Nov. 19
Damage to property was reported at a business on U.S. 421 North in Boone. Five windows and one window screen were reported broken.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at an apartment on U.S. 321 North in Sugar Grove. A suspect entering the residence and removed skis, ski boots, a DVD player, a DVD/VCR combo player and five VHS tapes.
Nov. 20
Tristan Daniel Royal Rattler, 19, of 276 George Triplett Road, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 3 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a parking lot at Howard’s Knob Park.
A cell phone, digital camera, wallet with identification and credit/debit cards, and a purse containing identification and debit card were reported stolen.
Larceny was reported at a residence on Howards Creek Road in Boone. A suspect stole gasoline from a parked vehicle.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on U.S. 321 North in Sugar Grove. A suspect entered the residence and removed two bicycles, two DVD players and a suitcase full of paperwork, pictures, birth certificate and green card.
Stephen Peter Mocilan Jr., 45, of 745 Pleasant Hill Drive, Elkin, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date on a charge of assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
