Arrest made in August burglary
An arrest has been in made in connection to an Aug. 15 breaking and entering and motor vehicle theft.
Investigators with the Boone Police Department have charged Joshua Duerr Pate, 30, of Boone, with first degree burglary, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Pate is alleged to have entered a Howard Street apartment, occupied by two females, during the night of Aug. 15.
Charges allege Pate removed a cell phone, camera equipment and a computer, before reportedly taking a 2004 Honda Civic belonging to one of female residents. The vehicle was recovered one day later in Alexander County.
Pate was arrested on Tuesday and taken before a Watauga County magistrate. Bond was set at $25,000, with a court date scheduled for Dec. 21.
Pate has been previously incarcerated multiple times since 1993 for convictions, including two felony breaking and entering charges, two driving while impaired charges, one felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury charge, one felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and one misdemeanor charge of driving while license revoked.
