Oct. 18
Panfilo Ascencio, 31, of 118 Carlin Court, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for misdemeanor child abuse. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 13 in lieu of a $500 unsecured bond.
Carter Scott McNeil, 18, of 521 Meadowview Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of injury to crops. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 21.
Jeremy Lee Jenkins, 33, of 480 W. King St., Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of misdemeanor larceny. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 13 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
Felix Medoza Castaneda, 38, of 120 Winter Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 13.
A possible breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Don Hayes Road in Boone.
Forgery and fraud were reported by a residence of Rominger Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported that a signature was forged on two cashed checks, in a total amount of $988.50.
Oct. 19
Identity theft was reported by a resident of Laying Ridge in Vilas.
Larry Scott Kerley, 28, of 275 Chestnut Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for a charge of assaulting emergency personal. The incident occurred in Caldwell County and Kerley is scheduled to appear there in district court on Nov. 26.
Fraud was reported by a resident of Bamboo Road in Boone. A suspect took delivery of a vehicle, but the victim has not received payment.
Oct. 20
Ewan Mahmud, 19, of 354 Poplar Summit Drive, Boone, was arrested on-view on a charge of a provisional license violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 21.
Caleb Mark Kuvach, 26, of 165-A Red Bank Road, Banner Elk, was arrested on-view on charges of resisting public officer and drunk and disruptive behavior. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 21 in lieu of a $1,000 secured.
Tyler Simmons Jones, 24, of 98 Holiday West, Clemson, S.C., was arrested on-view on a charge of possession of marijuana less than one half ounce. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 6.
Damage to property, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a parking lot on N.C. 105 Bypass. Several tools were reported stolen, valued at $1,260.
Oct. 21
Jeremy Daniel Russom, 24, of 115 Hideaway Lane, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest for charges of assault on a female, misdemeanor larceny, breaking and entering, and assault by pointing a gun. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 21.
Michael David Williams, 27, of 482 Probart St., Brevard, was served with an order for arrest for two charges of failure to appear at scheduled district court dates. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 7 in lieu of a $2,000 secured bond.
Heather Jolene Baumgardner, 21, of 1369 Mabel School Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest for a charge of communicating threats. She is scheduled to appear in Nov. 21 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on Kirby Branch Road in Zionville. A suspect cut the phone line at the home.
Oct. 22
Scottie Ray Moody, 35, of 200 Slabtown Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest for one charge of a domestic violence protective order violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48-hour hold. Moody is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 9.
Christopher Keith Hodnett, 32, of 998 Snaggy Mountain Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of felony possession of a scheduled III controlled substance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 21 in lieu of a $2,500 secured bond.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on Reese Road in Vilas. A suspect drove into and damaged a private gate, valued at $100.
Oct. 23
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on Old U.S. 421 South in Deep Gap. A DVD player and $1,000 in cash were reported stolen.
Larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a business on U.S. 321 North in Vilas. A 1998 red Chevrolet pick-up truck was reported stolen with lawn equipment in the bed of the truck. The total value of the stolen items was $6,000.
Damage to property was reported was reported at a residence on Slabtown Road in Zionville. The victim reported damage to a broken vehicle windshield, possibly with a BB gun.
Larceny was reported by a resident of Orchard Road in Deep Gap. Several items were reported stolen with a total value of $875.
The communication of threats was reported by a resident of Orchard Road in Deep Gap.
Damage to property was reported at a parking lot on Laurel Beach Lane in Boone. Four tires were cut on one vehicle.
