Watauga County sheriff’s reports:

Aug. 20
Assault was reported at a residence on Westside Drive, Vilas. The victim stated a suspect injured their arm.
False pretense and conversion by bailee were reported on Wildcat Road, Boone. A vehicle was not delivered per agreement after money had been paid.

Thomas Scott Greene, 42, of 234 Bynum Trivette Road, Deep Gap was served with a warrant for arrest for assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Oct. 17 and an unsecured $500 bond was set.

Larceny was reported at a residence on Old U.S. 421 South. A motorcycle, valued at $10,000, was reported stolen from a driveway.

Breaking and entering was reported at an apartment on Lazy Lake Road. A suspect entered the apartment without force through a window.

Assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats was reported at a residence on Meat Camp Road. The suspect shot at the victim.

Peggy Sue Yox, 41, of 1608 W. Mill Creek Road, Warrensville was arrested on view for driving while license revoked. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and a secured $500 bond was set. Yox is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.

Aug. 21
Damage to property was reported at a residence on Bear Cubs Trail. A suspect stopped up a toilet causing it to overflow, damaging hardwood floors valued at $3,800.

Damage to property was reported at another residence on Bear Cubs Trail. A suspect cut down a cherry tree on the victim’s property.

Assault and communicating threats was reported at a residence on Old U.S. 421 North. The suspect grabbed the victim about the neck and pushed them.

Andrea Nicole Crawford, 21, of 245 Bamboo Road Apt. 3, Boone was served with a warrant for arrest for two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle. A secured $1,000 bond was set and Crawford is scheduled to appear in district court on Oct. 17.

Dana Nicole Oakley, 23, of 157 Winkler Meadows, Boone was arrested for assault and battery. She was placed at the Watauga County Detention Center on a 48 hour hold. Oakley is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.

Daniel William Keller, 38, of 177 East Rocky Top Trail, Seven Devils was served with a warrant for arrest for breaking and entering. Keller is scheduled to appear in district court on Oct. 17 and an unsecured $500 bond was set.

Jeffvory Adorphus Hughey, 27, of 264 Woodring Circle, Boone was served with a warrant for arrest for assault and battery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. Hughey is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.

Aug. 22
Michael Royce Thornton, also known as Blade Hornton, John Babcock and Ian Huddleston, 39, of 545 Oak Grove Road, Boone was arrested on view for fictitious/canceled/revoked registration card and tag, driving while license revoked, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thornton was then served with an order for arrest for failure to appear on charges of driving while license revoked for Gaston County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center.
Secured bonds of $500 and $700 were set. Thornton is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 27.

Katherine Margarita Winikoff, 22, of 132-2 Old U.S. 321, Blowing Rock was served with a warrant for arrest for simple assault. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. Winikoff is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 27.

Theodore Randell Richardson, 20, of 132-2 Old U.S. 321, Blowing Rock was served with a warrant for arrest for assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. Richardson is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 27.

Markeus Wesley Largent, 23, of 164 Largent Road, Elizabethton, Tenn. was arrested on view for driving while license revoked, providing fictitious information to an officer, fictitious tag, no liability insurance, driving left of center and resisting public officer. Largent was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 27 and a secured $2,500 bond was set.

Larceny was reported at a residence on U.S. 421 North, Boone. The victim reported a picnic table, valued at $250, was stolen.

Damage to property was reported at a gravel area along N.C. 105 South. The passenger window of the victim’s car was damaged.

Damage to property was reported on Hillcrest Drive, Blowing. A mailbox, valued at $10, was reported crushed.
