Mountaineers' offense reaches end zone

Appalachian State resumed two-a-days Wednesday on another chamber of commerce day in the High Country. After a brief morning practice, the squad reconvened on the Kidd Brewer Stadium turf for an afternoon practice that featured more than an hour of situational scrimmaging. Read more.

Riddle answers a different call

Watauga Sports Hall of Fame inducts four more
Though there were just two inductees on hand to accept their inclusion into the Watauga Sports Hall of Fame, it did not diminish what all four inductees have accomplished.
Watauga High School and Brown University track and field standout Lindsay Taylor, former Major League Baseball player, the late Coaker Triplett, overall standout athlete Larry Horine and former Watauga football player and eventual baseball coach Joe Critcher were all inducted into the Watauga Sports Hall of Fame Friday night at the Boone United Methodist Church.
