District criminal court

July 23

Judge Kyle D. Austin presiding and Charlene Norris prosecuting on behalf of the state.
*David Michael Andreoli, 20, of 9126 Grove Tree Lane, Huntersville pleaded guilty to obtaining alcohol with a false driver’s license. A prayer for judgment continued was granted.
*Thomas H. Copeland, 22, of 218 River Trail, Winton pleaded guilty to failure to report an accident. A prayer for judgment continued was granted. Charges of driving while license revoked and exceeding safe speed were dismissed.
*An order for arrest was issued for Wayne Farmer of 9116 N.C. 194, Todd for failure to appear on a worthless check charge. A secured $1,000 bond was set.
*Benjamin D. Fierman, 19, of 2000 Dixie Hwy, Madison, Ga. pleaded guilty to driving after consuming alcohol while underage. A prayer for judgment continued was granted and Fierman was ordered to complete 24 hours of community service. A charge of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance was dismissed.
*Servando R. Galvan, 17, of 201 Hensels Lane, Boone pleaded guilty to misdemeanor stalking and violation of a protective order. Galvan was handed down two sentences of 75 days in jail, suspended, and one year supervised probation to run consecutively. He was assessed court costs and court appointed attorney fees. Charges of breaking and entering, second degree trespassing and simple assault were dismissed.
*A charge of failure to report an accident was dismissed against Blake Alexander Glover, 20, of 301 Gatewood Drive, Winston-Salem.
*Suzanne Elizabeth Grant, 21, of 7008 Bluewood Court, High Point pleaded guilty to driving after consuming alcohol while underage. A prayer for judgment continued was granted and she was ordered to complete 24 hours of community service. A charge of failure to stop for red light/stop sign was dismissed.
*A charge of failure to report an accident was dismissed against Jesse Howard Kobos, 21, of Welcome.
*A charge of driving without registration was dismissed against Ran Arvind Lavani, 23, of 108 Hemingway Forest, Raleigh.
*A charge of attempted larceny was dismissed against Christopher Mashburn, 23, of 808 Ridgewater Blvd., Morehead City.
*Nathan James Sigmon, 24, of 574 Old East St., Boone pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon. He was assessed a $100 fine and court costs. The weapon was ordered to be destroyed.
*A charge of hit and run with property damage was dismissed against Eric Clarke Snyder, 25, of 116 Fishers Creek Court, Cary.
*A charge of hit and run with property damage was dismissed against Carl Vance Trivette, 36, of 1140 Stoney Fork Rd, Deep Gap.
*Tyler Scott Beshears, 19, of 445 Pack Hill Rd., Blowing Rock was found guilty of driving while impaired. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, one year unsupervised probation and 48 hours of community service to be completed within 60 days. Beshears was assessed a $100 fine and court costs.

July 24

*An order for arrest was issued for Alvin Shawn Byrd of 107 Glade Rd., Boone for failure to appear on five worthless check charges, assault and battery, two counts of defacing public building, and a false fire alarm. A secured $1,000 bond was set.
*Carla Eve Corriher, 17, of 426 Stonecroft Dr., Lenoir pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. A prayer for judgment continued was granted and she was assessed court costs. Charges of possession of a fictitious/altered/revoked drivers license and speeding were dismissed.
*Kevin Michael Deiters, 43, of 281 Martin Lane, Boone pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, active, and two years unsupervised probation. He was assessed a $200 fine. A speeding charge was dismissed.
*Scott Thomas Deiters, 26, of 395 Jenwill Dr., Deep Gap pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail and two years unsupervised probation. He was assessed a $200 fine and court costs.
*Charges of communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun and violation of a protective order were dismissed against Mario Rafeal Gonzalez, 19, of 141 Canter Lane, Zionville.
*Charges of communicating threats and violation of a court order were dismissed against Katty Louise Isaacs, 19, of 141 Canter Lane, Zionville.
*Steven James Merrel, 38, of 208 Thunder Lane, Boone pleaded guilty to driving without a license. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, suspended, and two years unsupervised probation. He was assessed a $200 fine and court costs. Charges of expired inspection sticker, failure to wear a seat belt and expired registration were dismissed.
*An order for arrest was issued for Stephen Peter Mocilan, 44, of 745 Pleasant Hill Dr., Elkin for failure to appear on a charge of assault on a female.
*A charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was dismissed against Jason R. Morsette, 28, of 2173 Meat Camp Rd., Boone.
*Steve Frank Paulsen, 49, of 788 Will Isaacs Rd., Zionville pleaded guilty to driving while licensed revoked. A prayer for judgment continued was granted. Charges of expired registration and operating a vehicle without insurance were dismissed.
*William Fredrick Riley, 20, of 875 Hodges Gap Rd., Boone pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana. Sentencing was consolidated into 30 days in jail, suspended and one year supervised probation. Charges of manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for purposes related to a controlled substance were dismissed.
*Miguel Angel Rodriguez, 24 of 127 Hidden Treasures, Boone pleaded guilty to giving fictitious information to an officer. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended and two years unsupervised probation. Rodriguez was assessed court costs.
Charges of no operators license and driving left of center were dismissed.
*Ryan Lee Saunders, 19, of 4226 Lupton Ct., High Point pleaded not guilty to driving after consuming alcohol while underage. A motion to dismiss was entered and allowed.

Watauga County Sheriff’s Report

July 29

Larceny was reported at a residence on U.S. 421 North in Zionville.
Assault and communication of threats were reported at a residence on Bluebird Lane, Boone. A suspect, known to the victim, hit the victim while threatening further harm.
Lee Allen Hicks, 36, of 189 Combs Road, N. Wilksboro was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of violating a protective order. He was detained at the Watauga County Detention Center. Hicks is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.
Samuel Olivares Barreto, 31, of 7073 U.S. 421 North, Vilas was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of communicating threats and simple assault. He was detained at the Watauga County Detention Center and a secured $1,500 bond was set. Barreto is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.

July 30

Criminal damage to property was reported at a retail establishment on N.C. 105 South, Banner Elk. A suspect shot a B.B. gun at the business, damaging a window, porch light and antique sign.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on N.C. 194 North, Boone. A suspect removed a license tag from the victim’s vehicle and damaged it and a mailbox.
A missing person was reported from a residence on Miller Drive. A teenager was reported missing at 10 a.m. Investigators report the teen was located later that same day.
Frank Eston Coyler, 40, of 174 Dovick Drive, Banner Elk was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault on a female. He was detained at the Watauga County Detention Center and a secured $750 bond was set. Coyler is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 10.
Larceny was reported at a residence on Galax Circle. Stereo equipment valued at $350 was reported stolen.
Larceny of a vehicle was reported on Ball Branch Road. The 1996 Subaru Legacy was later recovered on Meat Camp Road.
A second larceny of a vehicle was reported on Ball Branch Road. A green 1995 Isuzu Rodeo was reported stolen.
Larceny was reported on Castleford Road. A suspect stole a boat from a dock in front of the residence.
July 31
A missing person report was filed from a residence on N.C. 421 North, Vilas. The man was found later that same day.
William Joseph Carter IV, 56, of 3412 Hardin Road, Boone was served with a warrant for arrest for three counts each of public health violations and disposition of a dead animal. He was detained at the Watauga County Detention Center and a secured $750 bond was set. Carter is set to appear in district court on Sept. 27.
A missing person report was filed from the Banner Mobile Park, Vilas. The female was reported not to have been seen in two days. She was located that same day.
Larry Joseph Houk, 29, of 1255 Old Bristol Road #2, Boone was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear on charges of unsafe movement and no insurance. He was detained at the Watauga County Detention Center and a secured $500 bond was set. Houk is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 30.
Fraud was reported at a residence on Omerta Lane. A suspect took payment for a home inspection without being licensed to perform said inspection.
Larceny was reported at a residence on Snaggy Mountain Blvd., Boone. The victim reported a television, valued at $500, stolen from the bedroom.
