Sheriff’s reports:
Feb. 7

Ronald Steven Wyatt, 55, of 4884 Laurel Creek Rd., Banner Elk, was served with a criminal summons alleging misdemeanor assault and battery. No bond was noted and he was scheduled to appear March 1 in District Court.

Feb. 8
Amy Chantel Gee, 32, of 132 Rickard Drive, Blowing Rock, was served with a warrant alleging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was given an unsecured $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 13 in District Court.
A deputy reported that his squad car was bumped slightly by another vehicle.
Michael Adam Haynes, 24, of 115 Winter Drive, Boone, was served with a criminal summons and warrant alleging one misdemeanor count each of writing a worthless check and misdemeanor larceny. He was released on his written promise to appear in District Court March 29 on the larceny charge, and March 7 for the worthless check.
Keith Weldon Shaw, 21, of 154 Pine St., Boone,was served with an order for arrest alleging he failed to appear in court on charges of under-aged possession of alcohol, being drunk and disruptive in public, and displaying another’s license as his own. He was confined, given a $1,000 secured bond, and scheduled to appear March 1 in District Court.
The caretaker at a home on the 4000 block of Howard's Creek Road reported that someone tossed a kerosene-soaked rag at the house.

Feb. 9
Hector Nieves Rangel, 34, of 644 Clint Norris Rd., Boone, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, three counts of selling or delivering marijuana, and one count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance, all felonies. His bail was set at $200,000, secured, and a District Court hearing was scheduled for March 29.
A home on the 7000 block of Old U.S. 421 N reportedly was broken into and several firearms stolen. They included .25 and .22 caliber Colt pistols, two 12-gage shotguns, two .22 cal. rifles, and an 8 mm. German rifle.
Four tires were reported stolen from Bamboo Storage, 268 Bamboo Rd.
A red and white Honda CR-80 dirt bike was reported stolen from a home on Brookshire Road sometime after the evening of Feb. 7.
The boyfriend of a Bluebonnet Lane woman reportedly entered her home, assaulted another woman and stole $157 in cash and a cell phone.
Stephen Ray Howard, 28, of 523 Blowing Rock Rd., Boone, was arrested and charged with two counts of maintaining a dwelling place for a controlled substance, four counts of selling and delivering marijuana, and four counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, all felonies. He was placed under a $100,000 secured bond and scheduled to appear March 29 in District Court.
Keri Ann Greene, 18, of 5100 Bamboo Rd., Boone, was arrested and charged with felony burning personal property. She was placed under a $3,500 secured bond and scheduled to appear March 29 in District Court.
Michael Dwayne Brown, 22, of 139 Hensel Lane, Boone, was arrested and charged with assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon, and injury to real property, all misdemeanors. He was ordered confined without bail for 48 hours and scheduled to appear March 1 in District Court.

Feb. 10
Four truck tires and four steel wheels were reported stolen from Winebarger Motors, on U.S. 421 N.
An acoustic guitar, bass guitar, amplifier, and other items were reported stolen from a Rainbow Trail home.
A laptop computer and cordless drill were reported stolen from a Spice Bottom Trail home, in Banner Elk.
