Officials respond to secondhand smoke report
In the wake of a federal report on the effects of secondhand smoke, the Appalachian District Health Department is expanding its educational campaign to reduce tobacco use. The U.S. Surgeon General’s office recently released a comprehensive scientific study that concluded that all exposure to secondhand cigarette and cigar smoke carries a risk.
