Taming the cub
Ava Zimmerman, a student at Watauga High School, won the women’s division of the Valle Crucis 7 Miler held Saturday.
Zimmerman finished with a course record time of 48 minutes, 17 seconds. It was good enough for fourth place overall. She is a junior at Watauga High and ran cross country for the Pioneers last year.
