Gurganus takes flight one more time before USC
Just one last hurrah. Sallie Gurganus is headed to one last competition as a high schooler. After winning her fifth state championship in the pole vault — between indoor and outdoor track — and earning Watauga High School’s Hall of Fame Award, which is given to the top senior female athlete, she will attend the Nike Outdoor Track and Field Championships at North Carolina A&T Friday.
