Blaze threatens Watauga homes

Firefighters from three counties battled a forest fire Wednesday afternoon just south of Blowing Rock on the Watauga-Caldwell county line that led to a highway closing.

Firefighters continued to battle a growing forest fire Wednesday afternoon just south of Blowing Rock on the Watauga-Caldwell county line.
