Mellow Mushroom draws top program

Finally, the Watauga girls’ soccer team gets to play at home.  After four road games against very tough opponents, the Pioneers return home Friday and Saturday. However, the competition level will remain high for the Pioneers in the Mellow Mushroom Invitational. Watauga will play host to T.C. Roberson, New Bern and Greensboro Page at Jack Groce Stadium.

Over?  Nothing is over until these three girls decide it is. Watauga’s indoor track season ended a month ago for most of the team, but three girls will compete Friday and Saturday in the National Scholastic Indoor Championship in New York City at the New Balance Track and Field Center.

CHARLOTTE — In their second game of the Frank Ponce Tournament, Watauga’s girls’ soccer team turned in a lackluster first half that led to their 3-1 demise against Charlotte Catholic.
