Big second half lifts Mountaineers
Though Lafayette won most of the statistical wars, it was Appalachian State, which trailed at halftime, that roared back and beat the Leopards 34-23 in the first round of the playoffs in front of 6,327 at Kidd Brewer Stadium Saturday.

WINSTON-SALEM — When Wake Forest guard Justin Gray got his chance to bury the Mountaineers, he didn’t let it slip away.
Gray scored eight points during a key run and Wake Forest rolled to a 91-78 victory over the Mountaineers in front of 14,665 at Joel Coliseum Friday night.
