The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce wants town residents to meet the candidates. The chamber will hold a “Meet the Candidates” forum on Monday, Sept. 26, where candidates for mayor of Boone and the Boone Town Council will address a series of questions from mediator Ron Hester and, most importantly, the public.

A kid in the Kidd
Andrew Wofford, son of Appalachian State University alumni Jim and Tammy Wofford, joined a crowd of 23,267, the largest crowd to ever attend a home opening game at ASU, to cheer on the Mountaineers in football action Saturday.
