Sky jumper

Julie Ward took second in the high  during the Northwestern 4-A Conference Track and Field Championships at Jack Groce Stadium Wednesday night. Watauga’s girls finished in first place with 193 points while A.C. Reynolds was second with 139. McDowell won the boys meet while Watauga finished fifth. Watauga girls win NWC track conference

WHS jayvees finish solid year

The Watauga junior varsity baseball team pounded out 16 hits Tuesday in a 14-4, mercy-rule shortened win over conference rival Alexander Central at Pioneers Field. The win in their season finale gave the Pioneers a 10-8 record overall and an 8-4 mark in conference play.
