Longwood is finding out that there is a definite downside to play a Division I schedule. Playing their first year of Division I, Longwood scheduled several games against solid competition, including No. 1 Illinois at Champaign, Ill., and No. 17 Cincinnati in the Las Vegas Classic. The Lancers have also faced Old Dominion, Northern Iowa and San Francisco, having lost to all three.
